From Beautiful But Invisible to Booking Machine
A visually stunning but non-converting med spa website rebuilt with booking-focused UX and SEO-ready architecture.

Overview
Serenity Med Spa had a visually beautiful website built by a design agency. But it wasn't generating bookings — it was essentially a digital brochure. The owner wanted a site that looked premium but actually converted visitors into booked appointments. I rebuilt the site in WordPress/Elementor Pro with a booking-first approach.
The Challenge
Design Over Function
The site looked stunning but had no clear path to booking. Visitors admired the design but couldn't figure out how to schedule an appointment without calling. The booking button was buried below the fold.
No Online Booking
All appointments were phone-only. This meant missed opportunities from visitors who preferred to book online — especially younger demographics who avoid phone calls.
Thin Service Pages
Service descriptions were 2-3 sentences each. No pricing, no FAQs, no before/after photos. Search engines had almost nothing to index, and visitors couldn't make informed decisions.
Strategy
I analyzed the visitor journey and found that most users landed on the homepage, browsed 1-2 service pages, then left without taking action. The problem wasn't traffic — it was the lack of a clear conversion path. I also audited 6 competitor med spa websites and found that the top performers all had online booking, detailed service pages, and visible pricing or starting prices.

What We Built
Booking-First Architecture
I restructured the site so every page had a visible 'Book Now' CTA. The homepage led with a booking widget. Service pages ended with a booking prompt. A sticky booking bar appeared after scrolling.

Rich Service Pages
Rebuilt each service page with: detailed treatment description, expected results, pricing tiers, before/after gallery, FAQs (with schema for AEO), and a booking CTA. Each page targeted specific treatment keywords.

Visual Design System
Maintained the spa's premium aesthetic but improved hierarchy. Added whitespace, clearer section dividers, and a consistent CTA button style. The design now guides visitors toward booking instead of just looking pretty.

Technical SEO
Added Service schema, FAQ schema, and Review schema. Optimized all images to WebP. Implemented lazy loading and caching. PageSpeed score improved from 41 to 92.

Results
Bookings
Online bookings increased 210% within 60 days. The online booking system now accounts for 45% of all new appointments. Phone bookings also increased because the site now drives more qualified traffic.
Performance
PageSpeed score: 92 (from 41). Load time: 2.1s (from 5.8s). All Core Web Vitals pass. The site is now one of the fastest med spa websites in the Miami market.
Search Visibility
Service pages began ranking for treatment-specific keywords within 8 weeks. The FAQ schema earned featured snippets for 4 common treatment questions.
Client Feedback
"Our online bookings increased 210% after the WordPress rebuild. Having one person handle both the design and the SEO was a game changer."
